A rich natural heritage The salt marshes
In the 19th century, more than 1000 salt workers worked on the Île de Ré, today there are only around a hundred. The salt producers of Île de Ré perpetuate salt processing using ancestral techniques. Go to the Marais Salant ecomuseum to learn more about salt farming and production techniques. The salt marshes offer a delightful landscape.

The Conche des Baleines beach is the closest beach to our establishment, it is less than 2 kilometers away. This immense fine sand beach in Saint-Clément-des-Baleines is a paradise for families, thrill-seekers and relaxation enthusiasts. This charming beach, bordered by the Lizay forest, offers many activities: kite-surfing, bodyboarding, kite flying, fishing, surfing, sailing, etc. You can easily reach the beaches of the village Les Portes en Ré strong>.
